Dr. David Martinez-Jimenez has extensive experience in the medical care and surgery for birds, exotic pets and even more species. Dr. Martinez has been practicing exotic pet, zoological medicine and surgery since 2002. He has completed a Master's degree in Wild Animal Health at the Institute of Zoology of London and London Zoo, an internship in exotic medicine and surgery at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. He has worked in an AZA-accredited zoological collection in Greensboro in North Carolina as well as other private zoos and petting farms in Georgia. Dr. David Martinez has published in scientific veterinary journals, book chapters and has presented in veterinary meetings.

At Cumming Veterinary Clinic, we provide comprehensive veterinary care for birds and exotic pets by using state-of-the art medical equipment, including digital x-rays, ultrasonography, endoscopy and minimally invasive surgery (coming soon) and electrosurgery.
